How did November go?
At the beginning of the month I set these goals. Let’s see how I did.
Run a minimum of 20K each week. - I came up short 1 week. Last week actually, because I had 6 ringette games that week. I’m OK with that.
Lose 5 lbs. - Well not quite, but again OK with 3.4 lbs lost this month.
Track every day and stay on the WW plan for the entire month. I actually did really well with this one....

I’m down 1.2lbs This week, which I’m very happy about! It wasn’t the best week for eating or running, but I was active in other ways.
That brings my total lost to 48.8!
these new tights I bought at winners today HAVE to be compression tights….either that or the smallest XL ever. Although, I suppose that’s probably why they were on clearance, no Medium sized person would bother looking in the XLs.
I don’t think they are ever coming off.
You know what sucks? When your coach tells you to do something, and then your team hates that you do it. Can’t win.

Lost 0.7 this week. Seems fair. I was sick and missed a couple workouts, as well as went out for a few big meals. It’s the right direction so I’ll take it. Looking for whole numbers this coming week though!
Total lost = 47.6 lbs
Tonight I was supposed to run 7K with the crew from work. I went 6K and had to walk at least a kilometer of it. My stomach has been giving me so many issues on recent runs, tonight I was actually in pain. I had to leave the crew and walk a good part of the route back to work, slightly hunched over in pain. I’ve had a temperamental stomach for as long as I can remember when it comes to...
The problem with being obsessed with Pinterest is I want to eat all of the things!
Did 15 solid minutes of upperbody (with some squats thrown in) kettlebell work, then hopped on the treadmill for 3.5K with some speed intervals thrown in for a 20 minute run.
I have to increase my weekday kms this week to meet my 20km minimum for the week. I’m in a ringette tournament this weekend, should be playing 5 games in 2 days so I doubt a run will be happening this weekend.
I’m also really happy to report I met my off-season goal of a minimum of 20K/week this week. I was sick for approximately 4 days so it was a challenge this week. Challenge met though!
Alright I made the responsible choice and texted in sick to practice. I will spend the evening on the couch resting, sipping tea and watching some television, willing this cold to go away and take the sore throat, runny nose and achy ears with it.
Yup, still sick. I have ringette practice tonight. I’m currently debating whether I should go or not. I feel this commitment to the team, but I also wonder if it will do me more harm than good. On the other hand, it’s just an hour, it won’t kill me…but lots of people skip out on practices.

Only down 0.3 lbs this week, but I’ll take it! It’s the right direction and I feel like I ate a lot this week, I was sort of expecting a gain.
Did I mention I’m sick today? Whaaaaaaa <—— you better hope I get better fast or you’re most likely going to hear a lot of that.
Total lost to date: 46.9 lbs
I woke up this morning with the beginnings of a sore throat, stuffy head and runny nose. Not stoked.
So I hopped on the treadmill for 2.5 miles. I figure if this things gonna get worse, it’s gonna do it whether I run or not, so I might as well get decent one in, it could be the last in a few days.
Must hit up the pharmacy today. And sleep with a toque on as per @reluctantrunner.
Ran 6.3K tonight, the weather was so perfect for a run! I am slightly sad to report though that I am unsure about my level of love for my new shoes (New Balance 890). I’m hoping I just need to break them in and get used to them, it was only my second run in them after all. I won’t give up on them yet, they’re everything I need/want on paper.
Warning: Feelings post ahead...
Friday night I had a bad night. I had an altercation with someone who should be a friend, probably my fault, some misguided frustration came out on someone it shouldn’t have, which quickly became misunderstood and went into a talespin from there. I don’t want to rehash the details here, but my reason for bringing it up is that it really sent me into a rather bad place for the entire...

Down 2 lbs today, which I am very happy about since this week contained my birthday, and birthday weekend events. things were different this year, I did indulge in a couple meals out, a couple drinks, and some cake, but I didn’t go crazy, nor did I feel like I wanted to go crazy. I didn’t at all feel like I was depriving myself, in fact, the thought of getting a full sized cake...

Wow it’s gorgeous out! Birthday run done, now we eat cake!
8.5K = 1:01 = done!
I know kettlebell class kicked my ass when I get home and can hardly make it up the first set of stairs to our first floor, nevermind, up the second set of stairs to the shower!
Really didn’t want to go this morning, really wanted to stay in bed, but I didn’t, and of course, now I’m glad I went!
Now off to spend the last day of my 31st year shopping with my mom and my sister!

1 Mile Test
It’s been a while since I’ve done this as I was focusing more on longer distance the last couple of months over speed, so I thought I better give it a go!

Well, I might as well post that I’m up 0.8 lbs this week. If I only posted about the losses it wouldn’t be very real would it? However, I ain’t even mad. A gain of less than a pound I never really feel is a big deal, it could be any number of things making that happen, and let’s be honest, I was a little slack in the eating department this week, with BF’s birthday,...
November Goals
Setting this month’s goals is a little more difficult than last as I don’t have any races coming up, but here they are:
Run a minimum of 20K each week.
Lose 5 lbs.
Track every day and stay on the WW plan for the entire month.
Do strength training a minimum of 1 time each week.
