Last workout of 2011
Would rather have ran outside today, but also wanted to get some weight lifting in, so off to the gym I went. hopped on the treadmill for 5 mils (8K) in 51:30. That’s a strong run for me, a good one to end the year off with.
Then I went to the free weights and worked my upperbody like it’s 1999. Whatever that means.

A look back at December
At the beginning of the month I set the following goals. Let’s take a look and see how I did with them.
Continue with my 20K/week minimum of running Ran at least 20K each week, with 1 exception, however that was a conscious decision due to some pain in my heel, so I switched to the bike for a few days. Success!
Publish to tumblr at least 5 times each week and include more photos Achieved!

Good evening of working out. Started with a 5.17 KM run on the treadmill, followed by about 20 minutes of lower body weights, and then off to ringette practice. It’s a festivus miracle! Down 1.2 lbs this week. It certainly wasn’t due to healthy eating, as I don’t think I’ve said no to a single treat this month, but I have tried to keep other meals reasonable, and I will say I have been very disciplined about exercise and working out, so that has to count for something. I’m having way too much fun with this at the moment.

Up 0.9 lbs this week. It’s no secret why. I’ve been eating everything in sight, including all of the treats in the office, and there were a lot. I started the week tracking really well, but by Sunday tracking fell apart. The only thing keeping me from the gain being 5lbs, is I’ve been working out and running very consistently.
I’ll do better this week. Tracking will last 7...
Going to have no spare time today, so I hopped on the treadmill this morning for a quick mile before getting ready for work. Only 1 mile, but had to keep my running streak going. Day 10!

I’m feeling stressed and a little overwhelmed. This week is shaping up to be incredibly busy for me with so many things to do, both at work and in life. I’m feeling like I’m not getting it all done, and I’m sure next week will end up being more of the same before vacation. The easiest thing to do would be to let my workouts slide, but I don’t want to let that happen....
