W1D4 - aka the run that reminded me of the importance of nutrition and the run that taught me they lock the cemetery, whether you’re in it or not.

Tonight’s run was the absolute worst run I’ve had since the hot days of summer. I ate too many sweets and treats this afternoon, and I payed for it. I felt horrible, I had a headache, I got cramps, I had to walk, I had no energy (this was probably compounded by giving blood for the first time last night), and it just all around sucked. I’ll chalk this up to a friendly reminder from the running gods that what you eat before a run impacts your ability to perform.

Oh, and I nearly got locked into the cemetery too. We left for our run about a half hour later than usual and I had no idea they locked it up. Because I had to do a little extra walking I told my partner to go ahead for the last couple K. By the time I got the the gates the security guard was closing them and yelling at me to hurry up! OOPS! Now I know!

Anyways, 5K done in some time I didn’t bother to track, then I hot the gym for 40 minutes of weights. Somewhat of a redemption session.
