While running do you use any watches or apps? What technology do you utilize?
I mostly run with my Garmin 410, which replaced my Garmin 305 that I left in a rental car glove box 4 months ago. However, it is a common occurrence that I forget to charge my Garmin, so on those days, when my whole running clinic is depending on me to track time and distance I use my iPhone with the Nike GPS app. I actually really like the app and the whole Nike+ dealie, but I don’t like carrying my iPhone on me, and I find the GPS on it is close, but a little less exact, or less consistent at least.
I like my Garmin 410, although still bitter about having to replace my 305 which was only 6 months old itself. The 410 is much nicer though, smaller, more compact, more like a watch than having a computer strapped to your arm. Only thing I don’t like about it, that the 305 had, is the 4up display. Being smaller, the 410 can only show me 3 data items at a time, whereas the 305 could show me 4. When I race I liked seeing my time, distance, current pace and overall pace all in one glance.
